Uma Mishra-Newbery is a global social justice and women’s rights leader, anti-racist and somatic facilitator and coach, former Executive Director of Women’s March Global, the initiator of The Racial Equity Index, a former organizational development and racial equity senior consultant with The Better Org, and the Interim Executive Director of FRIDA - The Young Feminist Fund.
Uma speaks regularly to audiences at conferences around the world. She motivates and rallies audiences in her honest and in-depth positions on global movement building, white supremacy in women’s rights and fundraising spaces and what transparent and transformative leadership looks like.
As an educator, Uma also leads training sessions for leaders and organisers on grassroots movement building, design and delivery of social justice actions, racial equity in non-profit and global development, and leadership for veterans and BIPOC persons in the non-profit space.
Uma has moderated and chaired numerous webinars and discussions on global human rights and women’s rights issues.
